Haven't flown XC yet, so can't tell you much, but I intend to! At take-off, easy to handle and obvious to launch. Very responsive glider, it gives plenty of feedback so the different phases of the landing procedure are very obvious: you are bound to land on your feet with this glider. However, the small OD provides some significant extra speed. Obviously, transitions are a bit sluggish compared to performance gliders and it can get boring at times (like with any glider of this kind). It gives a feeling of security and climbs well in thermals. I felt under control straight away, the glider is sensitive and goes where you want it to go. I need to mention that I transited to the Sport 2 after 15 flights only, which had been done with a Medil / Mambo / Medium I bought a Sport 2 last year, and after a few bumpy flight during the spring season, I can give you some feedback. Good performance yet easy to fly, the most logical intermediate between SS trainer to topless or rigid. I never heard of someone buying the Sport 2 and then being unhappy with it, and I can see why. With 16 hours of logged time I just moved up from a Falcon 2 to the Sport 2. I found it actually easier to fly and more responsive. With 8 hours total time I move from a Falcon 1 170 to the Sport 2 155 directly. Very stable glider with easy and pradictable flight characteristics. ![]() After less than 15 hours of air time I moved to the Sport 2 and was pleased with the performance and handeling right off the bat. This glider has practically made the Eagle an unessisary step in the Wills Wing quiver of wings. A great glider to progress to from the single surface sky floaters. The glider lands best in nill wind with about a quarter to one third vg and lands beautifully. All this with a VG make the sport 2 more performant than the Eagle, and in my opinion lighter in roll too. The glider has almost the same sail form as the Eagle except for the curved tips. Glide of the Sport 2 155 is approx 12/1 at max glide ratio speed of 51 Kph. ![]()

From my experience I haven't heard of a risc based architecture that supports dedicated graphics. Interesting that you point to ARM being the future for programs like Revit. If you don't understand all of this and just want to buy a computer that will allow you use all or the architectural software you need, just get a PC, and don't get sucked in by the unpaid Apple marketing fanboys, who in their selfishness, are trying to convince people to spend a whole lot more money on an Apple computer that in many cases simply won't do the job required ARM) might be good for some people, but when we went through all of this in the 80s and 90s, it became pretty clear that the reason x86 processors were better for 3D is that the complex instructions risc doesn't allow were often used for 3D. Then you have the glitches and poor UI (or UX) of the MacOS and the confusion created by the introduction of M1. I have seen before my eyes a row of PC laptops (often fairly cheap but with dedicated graphics) seriously outperform much more expensive MacBook Pros sitting next to them, performing the same tasks. I've been teaching a whole range of architectural software as part of a degree program for many years, and I'm always amazed by the number of new students who falsely believe Apple computers are better for the work we do, when in fact the opposite is true. Whenever I have a student with problem with these programs I generally can tell without asking that they are using a Mac. The workaround for the ones still with intel CPUs is to simply switch over to Windows, which will of course allow the Adobe software to be installed without a problem (even though it doesn't run as well as on a PC running Windows). Adobe software is the latest problem, because Apples block upgrades to their OS, even on quite recent MacBook Pros, which in turn blocks most Adobe apps on subscription. Even software available to run on MacOS (such as ArchiCAD and SketchUp) doesn't run as well as on a machine with dedicated graphics. Now that Apple have given up on dedicated GPUs for their laptops and the Mini, it also rules out most 3D and rendering apps (Vray, Lumion, Twinmotion etc.). It's not just Revit, 3ds max and the full version of AutoCAD also don't run on MacOS. So surely you must accept that you can run more software that architects use on Windows. I can only think something similar will happen if (preferably when) Revit is brought to the Mac.Įven if a Mac specific version of Revit is not developed, Microsoft's expansion to ARM processors, and AMD's looking to purchase ARM, combined with Intel's year's-long fumbling on development, ought to help push ARM into the mainstream on the Windows side. If I remember correctly, Autodesk had some people move their AutoCAD seats from Windows to Mac when they brought ACAD back to the Mac, but they also had an increase in their user base by gaining new users from the Mac world. I see people running Revit on a Mac in the future because it's the combination they choose to. But I see that less likely than Autodesk making Revit Mac-native. Perhaps if Microsoft would create their own "transparent framework translation" similar to WINE, that would be another potential solution. ![]() ![]() If a condition isn’t properly diagnosed, how can a person even attempt to treat it on their own?Ĭonsidering that pain is the most common back-related symptom that people are seeking relief from, it’s important to understand that where pain is felt isn’t necessarily its point of origin. Unless a person has access to an X-ray machine at home, they have no way of definitively knowing what’s causing their back problems. In addition, let’s think about how chiropractors diagnose and assess most spinal conditions: through comprehensive physical examinations and X-ray results. There is always the risk of agitating a spine further, especially when someone isn’t aware of the cause of the spinal misalignment.Įven something that seems like it wouldn't cause problems, like yoga, if not done correctly, can cause pain and potentially worsen the very symptoms a person is seeking relief from. Long-term relief can’t be achieved with rotational exercises alone what’s truly needed is a chiropractor who knows which areas around the body need pressure applied to actually relax important muscles and reduce inflammation.Īn attempt to align your own back could be potentially harmful if not consulting with a professional. The cracking or popping sound that people hear can be misleading, as many associate the sound itself with relief, but any relief it brings will be short-lived. ![]() When people attempt to ‘crack their own backs’, for example, what they are actually doing is releasing gas, and the effect is generally rotational in nature the sound it makes isn’t the sound of vertebrae popping back into place or any structural change occurring, and in fact, it could be causing more harm than good. To be clear, the term ‘cracking the back’ is a colloquial expression that describes a person’s attempt to adjust their spine by applying pressure in an effort to bring relief this is not an accurate chiropractic term. While a sore back and stiff muscles can benefit from some general DIY approaches to back-care through exercise, stretches, and what many people refer to as ‘cracking the back’ for relief, more serious structural issues like scoliosis need far more than just this general approach. Risks of Attempting to Align Your Own Back Unfortunately, when this is not the case, not only will their self-treatment be unsuccessful, depending on the source of the pain, it can actually lead to more problems in the long run. Sometimes, people simply don’t understand the true source of their back pain and assume it’s something they can rectify on their own. Some want to save themselves the time, money, and/or trip to the doctor’s office, and others are looking for more noninvasive methods. People making the choice to try and align their backs without a chiropractor do so for different reasons. When a spine becomes misaligned, people might be tempted to try and fix it themselves, and while there are proactive ways a person can relieve symptoms like pain from home, a professional chiropractor is needed to induce a structural change that addresses the underlying cause of the misalignment.īefore we move on, let’s first consider why some people might be interested in attempting to self-correct a spinal misalignment. Oftentimes, a spinal misalignment is evident in postural changes that give the body an overall asymmetrical affect. There are many different spinal conditions that can lead to misalignment such as kyphosis, lordosis, and scoliosis. When a spine becomes misaligned, there is a loss of its healthy curves as unnatural ones develop and the healthy curves can become under- or over-pronounced. When viewed from the back, a healthy spine should appear straight and run down the middle of the back. These curves work together to give the spine added strength, flexibility, and allow it to evenly distribute mechanical stress that’s incurred during movement. The reason the spine has an ‘S’ shape is because it has healthy curves that are characteristic of each spinal section. When a healthy spine is viewed from the side, it has a soft ‘S’ shape. There are three main sections to the spine: cervical (neck), thoracic (middle and upper back), and lumbar (lower back). ![]() The spine is made up of vertebrae (bones) that are stacked on top of one another, separated by intervertebral discs.
